Natursutten Pacifiers

What are the benefits of Natursutten pacifiers?

  • Natursutten® pacifiers are made from 100% natural rubber, ensuring they are free from harmful chemicals like BPA, PVC, phthalates, and parabens. Their one-piece design prevents dirt and bacteria buildup, making them safer and cleaner for your baby. Additionally, they are environmentally friendly, supporting sustainable practices

Are Natursutten pacifiers eco-friendly? Made of sustainable materials?

Yes, Natursutten pacifiers are crafted from pure natural rubber sap sourced from Hevea brasiliensis trees. Our supplier is a proud member of the Malaysian Rubber Board, promoting sustainable forestry and reforestation efforts.

Where are Natursutten pacifiers made?

Natursutten pacifiers are produced in a family-run facility in Italy and are rigorously tested to meet strict European standard.

Are Natursutten pacifiers safe?

Yes, all Natursutten® pacifiers comply with EN 1400 safety standards and meet regulatory requirements in the EU, U.S., Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. They are independently tested by ConsumerLab to ensure safety and quality.

Can babies with latex allergies use Natursutten pacifiers?

The protein that can trigger latex allergies is removed during production. However, if your baby has a diagnosed latex allergy, consult your pediatrician before using any natural rubber products.

Why does the shield touch my baby’s nose?

The larger shield on the Natursutten® Original pacifier is designed to simulate the comforting sensation of breastfeeding by gently touching your baby’s nose. This design is meant for babies 0 - 6 months old. For those who prefer a different design, the Natursutten® Butterfly pacifier features a cut-out that leaves more room around the nose. This design is meant for babies 6+ months old.

How do I clean and sterilize Natursutten pacifiers?

Before the first use, sterilize the pacifier by boiling it for five minutes. For daily cleaning, wash it with mild soap and running water. For a deep clean, place it in a strainer and pour boiling water over it. Do not use dishwashers or sterilizers, as these can damage the natural rubber material.

Why do Natursutten pacifiers change color over time?

Natursutten pacifiers naturally darken with use due to the absence of chemicals and antioxidants. This color change is expected and indicates the product's natural composition.

What is the white layer on my pacifier?

The white layer is harmless scale from water, which can appear if the pacifier is left in boiling water. It will fade with regular washing.

Should I cool the pacifier by leaving it in boiling water?

No, cooling the pacifier in boiling water can lead to scale buildup, making it appear dull. After sterilizing, remove the pacifier from the water immediately.

How long does a Natursutten pacifier last?

  • We recommend replacing Natursutten pacifiers every 6-8 weeks. Regularly inspect the pacifier for signs of wear or damage, such as stickiness or discoloration, and replace it when necessary.

Why does my new pacifier look smaller than the old one?

Heavy use can cause the nipple to expand over time. To maintain size and quality, alternate between at least two pacifiers, allowing them to dry out between uses.

How do I select the right size and style for my baby?

Natursutten pacifiers are available in various sizes, shield types, and nipple shapes to suit your baby’s needs. Refer to our comprehensive Pacifier Guide below to find the perfect fit for your little one.

Our pacifiers come in different designs to suit your baby's developmental needs.

  • For breastfed babies aged 0-6 months, we recommend our S-sized Round nipple with Round shield, which prevents nipple confusion and closely simulates breastfeeding by gently touching the baby's nose, providing a familiar soothing experience.
  • For growing babies aged 0-6 months, our S-sized Orthodontic nipple with Butterfly shield features a flat bottom and rounded top that reduces pressure on teeth and gums, while the Natursutten® Butterfly Pacifier's cut-out top creates a butterfly shape with more room for the baby's nose.
  • As your baby grows, we offer M-sized pacifiers for 6-12 months and L-sized pacifiers for 12+ months to accommodate their development.

Natursutten Bottles

Why are glass bottles better than plastic or metal?

Glass bottles are a safer choice as they don’t leach harmful chemicals like BPA or BPS into your baby’s milk. Unlike plastic, they resist scratches, which can harbor bacteria, and unlike metal, they don’t impart a metallic taste. Glass is also eco-friendly—it's reusable and recyclable, reducing landfill waste.

Where are Natursutten bottles made?

Our bottles are crafted in France from borosilicate glass, known for its durability and thermal shock resistance. The nipples are made in Italy from all-natural rubber, free from harmful chemicals, offering a soft, natural feel that mimics breastfeeding.

How do I clean Natursutten baby bottles?

All bottle components, including the glass bottle, cap, ring, seal, and double-valve, are dishwasher-safe. The natural rubber nipple should be hand-washed with mild soap under cold running water.

Are Natursutten bottles microwave-safe?

Yes, the glass bottles and plastic parts are microwave-safe. However, the natural rubber nipple is not. Always remove the nipple and plastic cap before microwaving. Shake the liquid after heating to ensure even temperature distribution and test it on your wrist before feeding.

What type of nipple comes with Natursutten bottles?

Natursutten nipples are made from 100% natural rubber sourced from Hevea brasiliensis trees. They are crafted in Italy to provide a soft, natural feeding experience.

What flow options are available for the nipples?

We offer two flow rates: Slow-Flow (single hole) and Fast-Flow (Y-shaped hole). Both options are sold separately in 2-packs, and the flow rate is clearly indicated on the packaging.

How can I tell the nipple flow apart?

The Slow-Flow nipples have a single hole, while the Fast-Flow nipples have a Y-shaped hole. The packaging also helps differentiate between the two.

Will other nipples fit Natursutten bottles?

Yes, our bottles accommodate most standard-size nipples, but wide-neck nipples will not fit.

Can Natursutten nipples fit other baby bottles?

Our natural rubber nipples fit most standard-sized baby bottles. Ensure you include the anti-colic double-valve for proper attachment and function. They are not compatible with wide-neck bottles.

What does “thermal shock-resistant” mean?

Our bottles are made from pharmaceutical-grade borosilicate glass, which can handle extreme temperature changes without breaking. This feature allows seamless transitions from freezer to hot water.

Do Natursutten bottles have a venting system?

Yes, our bottles feature an anti-colic double-valve system, ensuring even milk flow to prevent colic and gas, making feeding more comfortable for your baby.

What safety certifications do Natursutten bottles have?

Natursutten bottles and nipples meet stringent safety standards, including European EN14350, CPSIA 2008, and 16 CFR 1500 in the U.S. All products undergo rigorous testing by ConsumerLab in Denmark to ensure they are safe for your baby.
